FAQs How TransLink®WebDX Works

TransLink ® WebDX subscribers have complete access to their EDI documents. The application is comprised of four main areas: Documents (Inbox), Archive, Reports and Account Management.

WebDX alerts you to the receipt of new documents by delivering an automatic message to your e-mail address. Simply click on the link provided in the message, and you will be immediately connected to the TransLink WebDX login located on this site's home page.

The Documents section enables you to view, sort, print, archive and download received electronic business documents. The Documents section also contains create features that allow you to generate new or return EDI documents using a simple form. You can create purchase orders (850), purchase order acknowledgements (855), advance ship notices (856), invoices (810), remittance advices (820), or functional acknowledgments (997), based on the needs of your company.

For example, to create a return document from a received document (i.e. Purchase Order) simply click on Create Return while viewing the received document (Purchase Order). Then choose the type of document you would like to send back to your business partner (Invoice), make any necessary adjustments to the pre-populated document and send the document to your business partner.

The Archive section stores all documents sent from your account and stores all received documents marked for archive from the Documents section. This section also enables you to mark an incorrect document as invalid. As with the Documents section, Archive allows you to view, sort, print, unarchive and download received electronic business documents.

The Reports section generates various reports on aggregate EDI activity. These reports provide you with insight into your cumulative EDI activity within the WebDX system. You can generate document reports by:
•  Part number
•  Supplier
•  Purchase order
•  Purchase order and part number

WebDX contains an account management section to provide your company control over your account users. Under Account Management, companies can modify account user information, manage users and set user permissions.
